it does the job.
the tape doesn't stretch as much as i imagined, but it does a job reasonably well. i use it to strap my thumb for rugby, as well as occasionally fingers and ankle and so on. the tape is too rigid to move with your movements and is quite uncomfortable due to its rigidness. do not buy this if you are intending to use it for similar purposes. *Physical Sports response* Sounds like what you really wanted was elastic adhesive bandage. Zinc oxide tape does not stretch, full stop. That's not what it is for. It's intended for firm/rigid support and splinting. That said, it is very commonly used as a finger, thumb and wrist tape. If that's uncomfortable, it might be a sign the tape is applied too tightly. Re the ankle: you would usually only put zinc oxide tape on your ankle to immobilize a bad sprain.
