UK Delivery Charges
We have a simple and transparent scale of delivery charges.
Standard Great Britain Rates
- £3.48 for small parcels (usually Royal Mail 48)
- £5.94 for express small parcels (usually Royal Mail Tracked 24)
- £6.96 for orders over approx 2kg (usually DPD)
- Free for orders over £75.00 (usually DPD)
Highlands, Islands and BT Postcodes
- £3.48 for small parcels (usually Royal Mail 48)
- £5.94 for express small parcels (usually Royal Mail Tracked 24)
- £15.30 for orders over approx 2kg (usually DPD Two Day)
- Free for orders over £125 (usually DPD Two Day)
Orders containing certain cleaning fluids, chemicals and batteries and orders containing more than two aerosols will always be charged at the DPD rate for your location, because Royal Mail will not carry these items.
All rates quoted here include VAT. You will have the opportunity to review all delivery charges prior to completing your purchase on our website.
UK Delivery Times
We pride ourselves on our rapid service and aim to dispatch all orders promptly so you should receive yours within 3 working days. If for some reason your parcel doesn't arrive within 10 working days, please contact us.
If you select standard delivery, smaller orders are sent via Royal Mail 48 while orders weighing more than 2kg or worth more than £25 may be sent via DPD (a tracked service) or Royal Mail Tracked 48. Most orders are dispatched within 1 working day of being placed. Orders placed between Friday afternoon and Sunday are usually dispatched on Monday.
We also offer a fully tracked express delivery service for most UK postcodes. Express delivery orders will be sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24 or DPD (depending on size) and will usually arrive next working day if ordered before 2pm. However, if it is very important that your items are dispatched same day, you may still wish to call us to place your order. Normal express deliveries take place Monday to Friday. Note that we usually cannot dispatch same day if your order is placed after 2pm, but you are welcome to call us to check. Delivery time on the express service is usually 1 working day from dispatch.
DPD Saturday delivery is also available for most UK postcodes.
None of the delivery time frames we quote are offered as guarantees of service - they're simply good-faith estimates based on our previous experience with our chosen carriers.
Delivery Notifications
We will send an email confirmation when your order is dispatched. So please make sure you give us a working email address when you checkout. Please do not give us a 'forwarding' email, as these invariably do not work because they fail the sender policy framework. If you're sure you placed an order with us but have not received a confirmation email, it is probably because you made a typo in your email address or because our messages are being caught by your spam filter. In this case, you are very welcome to contact us to double-check. If you also provide us with a mobile phone number, the courier will send you a text on the day of delivery to indicate an approximate delivery time. (This does not apply to smaller orders dispatched with Royal Mail 48 on the £3.48 rate.)
Returns & Cancellations
If need to return any items, please contact us within 30 days of the original delivery date to arrange the return. Just give our sales office a call on 01943 662155 or email sales@physical-sports.co.uk
Unless the goods arrive with you in a damaged or defective state you are responsible for the cost of return postage. All items must be returned in good condition and we will not refund you for any unsealed items that were originally supplied sealed for health and hygiene reasons (for instance, medical devices.) More information on your consumer rights to cancel can be downloaded here.
We request that you always contact us first before returning any items. Phone or email is the best way to get in touch with us.
Overseas
We accept online orders for Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and certain other countries. (However, for some destinations you will need to contact us directly to get a delivery quote if the items you are ordering are physically large or weigh more than approx 2kg.)
You will be able to see the delivery rates for your country during checkout. If we cannot offer an online delivery quote for your order, please contact our sales office on +44 (0)1943 662155 or sales@physical-sports.co.uk with your requirements so that we can provide a quote with accurate tax and delivery. It is helpful if you can send us an email showing exactly what you want to order, and include your phone number, email address and the complete delivery address.
It is not possible for us to send overseas aerosols, batteries and certain cleaning fluids and chemicals. If in doubt, please contact us to check.
All overseas orders must be paid for in British pounds. Goods are dispatched upon receipt of cleared funds. You are responsible for any import duties or taxes. We will complete all customs forms accurately and honestly - so please do not ask us to mark your consignment as a gift or commercial sample.
BFPO
We accept online orders for delivery to BFPO, provided the parcel weighs less than 2kg and does not contain any prohibited items such as some cleaning fluids, blades, aerosols, batteries etc. If you order any prohibited items you might still be able to check out, but we will cancel your order.
- We currently charge £3.48 for small parcel BFPO delivery
- You MUST use the correct BFPO POSTCODE in the postcode field (begining BF)
- Do NOT use the Ruislip postcode begining with HA
- In the country field select 'United Kingdom'
- We cannot process tax-free orders online because we need the relevant documents in advance - you will be charged VAT when ordering online
- For tax-free orders, instead contact us with the documents and we will process your order manually

Delivery Questions
Q: When will you dispatch my order?
A: We work Monday to Friday and dispatch almost all orders within one working day. We do not make any dispatches during the weekend or on bank holidays. If we anticipate any significant delay in dispatching your order, we will contact you.
Q: How long will my order take to arrive?
A: This depends on the delivery option you choose. If you are ordering for delivery to a UK address, an estimated delivery time will be quoted to you at checkout. All delivery estimates are a fair reflection of our past performance, but do not represent a guarantee of service. We do not offer delivery time estimates for orders sent outside the United Kingdom. Q: Do you offer next-day or express delivery?
A: Yes, express delivery is available for most UK postcodes. You can select it during the checkout process. Unfortunately, we cannot offer express delivery to certain highlands and islands addresses.
Q: Will I get tracking information?
A: For UK addresses, if you select express delivery at checkout you will always be supplied with tracking information wherever possible. If you select standard or free delivery, your order may be sent by an untracked service, (typically Royal Mail 48), but if your order is physically large or expensive we may use a tracked service at our discretion.
Personal Information Questions
Q: What will you do with my personal information?
A: Please read our privacy policy which explains how we will use any personal information you provide.
Q: Do you keep my card information?
A: No. Not even temporarily. The info goes directly to the payment providers concerned via an encrypted connection. It does not stay on, or even pass through, our own systems at any point.
Q: What kind of email will you send me?
A: Unless you explicitly sign up for our email newsletter, the only emails we would normally send you are as follows:
- Emails directly related to your order
- Emails directly related to your customer account, if you choose to create one
- An email inviting you to review any products you have purchased
- Reminder emails: if you place items in your basket, but leave the site without completing checkout, you may receive an email reminding you to complete the purchase. You can ignore this if you’ve decided you don’t want the items.
Q: Will you send me marketing emails?
A: Not unless you sign up to our email list. It would be a waste of our time to send marketing emails to people who don’t want them. Our list has an opt-in system – you must explicitly choose to join it. If you receive our marketing emails it is because you knowingly consented to it. Yes you did. In any case, we use marketing emails quite sparingly – usually only a couple of mailshots a week. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time - simply use the 'unsubscribe' link in footer of the emails or contact us and we'll delete you from the list manually.
Q: Will I receive telemarketing calls from you?
A. No. Seriously... we've got better things to do.

Q: Does this site put cookies on my computer?
A: Definitely. If we did not do this, the site could not function as an online shop. For instance, without cookies the site could not ‘remember’ what products you place in your basket and by the time you got to checkout they would all have disappeared. When you first visit this site, a notice alerting you to the fact that we use cookies is displayed. Q: Will this site work with javascript disabled?
A: Well… it won’t work properly.
Payment Questions
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We happily accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, PayPal and Apple Pay.
Q: My card was declined
A: Sometimes, there genuinely is a problem with the card account and you may need to talk to your bank. On the other hand, it may just be our payment gateway or your bank suffering a temporary technical issue. In the first instance, try entering the info again and pay close attention to make sure it is accurate. Alternatively, try checking out with PayPal instead (you don't need a PayPal account to use it.) If all else fails, give us a call and we’ll see what we can do for you.
Q: Does this website use 3D Secure / Verified by Visa / MasterCard Secure Code etc…
A: Yes.
VAT Questions
Q: Why have you charged VAT on these medical devices?
A: Unless you qualify for VAT relief due to your circumstances medical devices attract VAT at the standard rate except when they are supplied as an integral part of a medical service. We are supplying goods only and therefore VAT is charged at 20%.
Q: Why have you charged me VAT on the postage?
A: Distance sales are considered a ‘single supply of delivered goods’ regardless of whether the postage is itemised separately. Therefore, any postage component on the invoice must attract VAT at the same rate as the goods.
Q: I'm ordering charity-funded equipment, can I claim VAT relief on my order?
A: Provided your order qualifies under the terms of the relevant VAT notice, we are happy to deal with VAT relief transactions. You’ll need to contact us directly to organise this. Please don’t order through the website as you will be charged VAT.
Q: I am disabled, will you charge me VAT?
A: Yes. Medical equipment sold to disabled people is eligible for VAT relief only if it is ‘designed solely for the relief of a severe abnormality or a severe injury’ or is ‘designed solely for use by a disabled person’. Because most of our product range consists of simple first aid equipment, it is unlikely that anything you buy here would be eligible under these rules.
